Abstract

Research Title: "The Symbolic Connotations of the Eye in Ancient Egyptian Art and Their Use in Contemporary Textile Crafts." The current research aims to: uncover the symbolic connotations of the eye in ancient Egyptian art, extract the most important visual elements of the eye symbol and use them as a basis for designing contemporary textile crafts, and utilize the symbolic connotations of the eye in ancient Egyptian art to create contemporary textile crafts. The researcher presents an introduction to the eye symbol in ancient Egyptian art, specifically mentioning the symbolic connotations of the eye in ancient Egyptian art and the associated symbols. The research is divided into two axes: the first: the eye and its connotations in ancient Egyptian art, and the ideological concept of the eye in ancient Egyptian art, and a table illustrating the symbolic connotations of the eye in ancient Egyptian art. The second axis: contemporary textile crafts and the artistic compositions and techniques used in creating contemporary textile crafts. The researcher presented some of the executed textile works, analyzing each work and its symbolic connotations. At the end of the research, the researcher presented the results, recommendations, and references
