An Interactive e-book in Al-Khayamiya Course to Develop Art Education Students's Reflective Thinking & Self-learning Skills

Abstract

E-learning is no longer a luxury, but a necessity imposed by technological developments in the twenty-first century. These developments include the use of electronic courses. The electronic course presents teachers with new, huge and fast technical challenges that require more knowledg. Reflective thinking, in which the individual contemplates the situation in front of him, analyzes it into its various elements, and draws the necessary plans to understand in order to reach the required results by this situation and evaluate the results in the light of plans. Art works are among the courses that have a special impact on the preparation of the teacher of art education on the one hand, and the outcomes of his future professional performance on his students on the other hand, and their consequent impact on the community environment.The current aimed at using an interactive e-book bared on Khayamiyya's works to develop reflective thinking and self-learning skills among art education students. The current research aimed at enrichinlg the artistic field with non-stereotypical works, which help to expand imagination and increase their contemplation to produce non-traditional artistic hangings. The research sample was chosen from the students of the third year, Faculty of Specific Education, Department of Art Education, Kafr El-Sheikh University, by dividing the students into two groups, 32 students, an experimental group, and 30 students, a control group. An educational program was prepared and built. The implementation of the program took a semester with a weekly meeting.
