Interactive design of a denim jacket with a changeable back to keep up with the aspirations of the modern consumer

Abstract

The research aims to innovate and design a model for an interactive denim jacket featuring a changeable back, allowing the modern consumer the freedom to customize, express their personality, and keep up with the latest fashion trends, while enhancing the concept of sustainability by reducing the need to purchase multiple clothing items. The research also seeks to study the consumer response to this type of design in terms of visual appeal, functionality, ease of use, and the possibility of integrating it into modern fashion markets.

The researcher carried out an interactive design change for a single denim jacket through disassembly and assembly, and then it was judged by (16) professors specialized in the field of clothing and textiles to ensure the success of this technique in addition to a questionnaire to learn their opinions.

Another questionnaire was presented to (50) consumers to measure their degree of acceptance and to reach the research results through statistical processing.

The researcher recommended raising consumer awareness of the benefits of interactive designs on the environment and personal economy, and encouraging fashion designers to adopt interactive design concepts as a tool for achieving
