Abstract

The research aims to find out the effectiveness of a proposed unit based on the principles of green economy in improving the level of skill performance in the use of the remnants of fabrics and threads among students of home economics, and the research followed the semi-experimental approach and the research tools were to prepare a questionnaire on a sample of fourth-year students, Department of Home Economics, amounting to (27) students in order to determine the needs of the educational unit to improve the level of skill performance in the use of the remnants of fabrics and threads and accordingly an educational unit was prepared and the research sample Random group From the fourth year students in the Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University during the academic year 2023-2024, and the results resulted in statistical differences at the level of significance (0.01) for each of the achievement and skill tests in favor of the dimensional application, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed unit based on the principles of green economy in the use of fabric and thread residues.
