Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the use of Puppet Theater in developing the concepts of the environmental dimension of sustainable development among primary school students, “The Prepare for Green Initiative as a model.” The researcher used the experimental approach with a semi-experimental design with two control and experimental groups. The environmental dimension to be developed among primary, and a group of puppet theater performances composed by the researcher, And a illustrated test that included the concepts of the environmental dimension of sustainable development, the study sample. These tools were applied to a sample of (32) students from the third grade of elementary school - school Al-Salam - Aswan Governorate. The study reached many results, most notably:

1. "There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the control and experimental groups in the direct post-measurement of the illustrated test of the concepts of the environmental dimension of sustainable development achievement in favor of the experimental study group.

2. "There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements of the illustrated test of the concepts of the environmental dimension of sustainable development achievement in favor of the post measurement.

3. "There is no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the immediate and deferred post-standard of the illustrated test of the concepts of the environmental dimension of sustainable development achievement.
