Proposal Imagine of Home Economics Curriculum in the Light of the Goals of Safety Education to Develop Preventive Behaviors and Achieve Quality of Life for Students of Intellectual Schools

Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed curriculum in home economics based on the objectives of safety education for the development of preventive behaviors among students of schools of thought. The experimental research sample consisted of (22) male and female students. The research used the semi-experimental approach using one group, And the use of pre and post measurement of the research tools for the same group. The research tools included a measure of the dimensions of quality of life, which included six dimensions (the dimension related to nutrition, the dimension of social relations, the necessity of self-esteem, the quality of education and study, the dimension of public health, the dimension of family life), and the test of preventive behaviors. The search results found the following:

There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the research sample students in the pre and post applications of the dimensions of quality of life scale and the test of preventive behaviors) in favor of the post application. The size of the effect was significant due to the application of a unit of the proposed approach, And it became clear that there is a direct positive correlation between the dimensions of quality of life and preventive behaviors.
