Abstract

At the end of the twentieth century, Indian music entered a new musical phase, between classical Indian music and the modernity of contemporary electronic music, with an aspiration to modern Western music. Clarence Barlow was the pioneer in introducing these modern trends in musical composition to classical Indian music.

This research aims to shed light on the recent trends of composing Indian music, by presenting the recent trends that Barlow used in composing music.

Among them, modern trends were identified, and some of the changes that occurred in contemporary Indian music, which relied in its composition on the use of computers. Three books

The results answered the questions, and the results of the research were related to the existence of a new vision in the method of composing Indian music between the contemporary method of composing music using the computer.
