The effectiveness of a counseling program to develop mothers' awareness of effective motherhood skills in dealing with children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
The current research aimed to study the effectiveness of a counseling program to develop mothers' awareness of active motherhood skills in dealing with children with ADHD. On a purposeful, intentional sample of (178) mothers of a child with ADHD. This research followed the descriptive, analytical and empirical approaches.The results showed the following: - There is a statistically significant correlation between each of the demographic variables of the study (family size - mother's educational level - family monthly income - housing area) and awareness of the skills of active motherhood in its axes. - There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of mothers in the level of awareness of the skills of active motherhood and its axes depending on the place of residence of the family in favor of urban mothers, and according to the work of the mother in favor of working mothers, and according to the sex of the child in favor of mothers of male children. - There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of mothers in the level of awareness of the skills of active motherhood and its axes according to the level of education in favor of mothers with a high level of education, and according to the size of families in favor of small families, and according to the monthly income of the family in favor of families with high incomes, and according to the child’s arrangement among his brothers in favor of The first child.
