Abstract

Benefiting from some of Attia Sharara’s mechanical works in making exercises for the Arabic solfege

Introduction:
Contemporary Egyptian music has taken bold steps towards using new forms and forms based on the international composition style while preserving the timeless Arab heritage,The twentieth century was celebrated with many distinguished pioneers of music and singing, who were credited with the renaissance and development of the art of music, and among these authors is the author "Atia Sharara".
The Arab solfege is also an essential pillar of Arabic music, as it is concerned with singing and reading musical notes I, the researcher sees the possibility of studying and analyzing some of these mechanical works and benefiting from them in devising some Solvaian exercises that help in developing the students’ skill in Arabic Solfege.
The research covered the following: Research problem - Research objectives - Importance of research - Research questions - Research methodology - Research sampling - Research tools - Research boundaries - Research terms - Previous studies related to the research topic

The theoretical framework of the research:
The research covered two parts:
First:. The biography of "Atia Sharara".
Second: The Arab Solfege
The applied framework for research: It included:
Developing suggested exercises for Arabic solfege derived from the musical introductions to the national operas of Mohammed Abdel-Wahhab (research sampling).
_Goals specific to each exercise.
The research was concluded with the results that answered the research questions, recommendations, references list and summary.
