The effectiveness of educational satellite channels and digital platforms in education to confront the Corona pandemic (COVID-19) from the perspective of teachers in Damietta Governorate

Abstract

The research aims to identify the Educational Satellite Channels and Digital Platforms effectiveness in education to confront the Corona Pandemic (COVID-19) from the perspective of teachers in Damietta Governorate and the problems that hinder the effectiveness of them.
This research is a descriptive research and is based on the (sample survey) method.
Sample
A questionnaire was designed to cover all the research questions and to ensure the stability of the data we obtain after analyzing it. It has been applied to a sample of (400) teachers of different education levels in Damietta, which were randomly selected.
Summary of search results:
The research reached a set of results, the most important is that one of the most important reasons for the effectiveness of Digital Platforms is that they are available all the time and it is easy to retain scientific content and apply it in a better way. (61.50%) of the teachers in the research sample stated that Electronic Platforms had the most effective role while (38.50%) have reported that Educational Satellite Programs had an effective role in facing the pandemic. They also reported that the most important reasons that hinder the Digital Platforms effectiveness are the electronic devices issues, the lack of internet access and its high cost (53.25%). The study showed that there is no statistically significant relationship between the use of Educational Satellite Channels and Digital Platforms during the Corona Pandemic and the geographical location of the school.
