Self- Management and its Relation to the Future Anxiety for University Youth in Light of the Labor Market Requirements

Abstract

The current research aims to reveal the relationship between self-management and future anxiety among university youth in light of the requirements of the labor market. The general data form was applied to them, including (gender - nature of study - parents' education level - mother's work - family place of residence - number of family members - average monthly income of the family). And the scale of self-management and its axes (time management - decision-making and problem solving - self-confidence - ambition and self-development) and the scale of future anxiety and its dimensions (economic anxiety - social anxiety - occupational anxiety), and the research followed the descriptive analytical approach.
The search results showed the following:
There is a statistically significant correlation between self-management with its axes for individuals in the research sample and future anxiety with its dimensions. The self) according to the weights of the regression coefficients.- The difference in the percentage of participation of the independent variables on the dependent variable (future anxiety) according to the weights of the regression coefficients.
