Abstract

The current research aims to study the relationship between Parents' negotiation skills with Mentally superior adolescent sons and some of their behavioral and emotional problems, To achieve the aim of This study The study tools were prepared (the family general data form, the scale of negotiation skills with mentally superior adolescent sons, and the behavioral and emotional problems scale, the behavioral and emotional problems scale was applied to (117) mentally superior adolescent and their Parents. The sample was chosen from different social and economic levels, and from high school students, and the research followed the descriptive analytical method, The search results concluded that the most negotiating skills that mothers followed with their Sons were Slow down in decision making skills, and the most behavioral and emotional problems among mentally superior adolescents were anxiety about the future, Also, there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the average scores of the sample members in the axes of the parents' negotiation skills scale with the mentally superior Sons according to the study variables, and there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members in the behavioral and emotional problems of the mentally superior sons. According to the variables of the study, and there is an inverse correlation between the axis of the parents’ negotiation skills scale with the mentally superior Sons and the axes of the behavioral and emotional problems scale of the mentally superior Sons at the level of significance (0.01), (0.05).
