A comparative study between the Profily method and Terry Ellison's method and its use in the implementation of the women's corsage to reach a codified model

Abstract

The research aims to make a comparison between two methods of preparing the women's corsage model, the "Terry Wilson" method and the "Profile" method, determining the best ways to teach the women's corsage model in the subject of designing models and implementing women's clothing in terms of the degree of control and conformity to the Egyptian body, arriving at a codified model of the women's corsage that fits With the nature of the Egyptian body.
The research sample included a sample of Egyptian women according to the different sizes (taken from the measurement table) and their number (25) women, a group of (10) faculty members specialized in the field of clothing and textiles at the Faculty of Home Economics at Helwan University, in order to evaluate the basic female model by the Profile method and the method Terry Wilson.
Among the most important results of the research, there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the corsage basic model using the “Terry Wilson” method and the “Profile” method, in favor of the first method to fit the basic corsage model using the “Terry Wilson” method, according to the sizes (88-93-98) of the nature of the Egyptian body. In order to achieve comfort, good adjustment and conformity to the body during wearing more than the profily method, in both (front, back, sleeve, and side), which gives an adjustment to the outfit and its fit to the body, which affects the external appearance, based on the opinion of the arbitrators.
