Enriching the Aesthetic and Functional Values of Curtain Fabrics by Using Some Fruit and Plants Parts with a Distinctive Shape

Abstract

This research aims to study some parts of fruits and plants with a distinctive shape and use them in the designs of curtain fabrics, and to combine some parts of fruits and plants with a distinctive shape in making designs suitable for curtain fabrics, as well as employing the best designs quoted in several models of curtain shapes. To achieve the objectives of the research, (30) Designs were extracted. A questionnaire was prepared to survey the specialists' opinion, from which the best (3) designs were taken from each group. Then a questionnaire was prepared for consumers to know their opinions on the best quoted designs, after employing them in (3) different models of curtains. One design adapted for each group as well as the most suitable used model for curtains, then the best adapted design for the most suitable used model for curtains is printed.* The research reached several results, the most important of which are:
1- The best source for quoting was “Quoted from Some Fruit Parts” with a distinctive shape, according to the opinions of specialists and consumers.
2- The best models used for curtains in achieving the evaluation items (as a whole) is (Model: 3) in which the design was distributed in the curtain completely, according to the opinions of consumers.
