Studying Some Different Methods of Needle Works and their Use in the Implementation of Home Furnishings as a Starting Point for Small Projects

Abstract

To this aim, the research adopted both the descriptive analytical method as well as the experimental method. The research sample consisted of three categories of consumers: first, (32) girls in Minya governorate who are about to get married, because bed sheet is one of the basics of the bride; second, shop owners: (15) owners of furniture stores Minya governorate; third, (23) ladies who have a desire to set up a small project, who are graduates from different faculties in Minya Governorate, provided they have tendencies and love for needlework. The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire about the opinions of specialists in the three executed needlecrafts, a questionnaire to identify the degree of consumers’ acceptance of the three executed needle crafts, a questionnaire to identify the degree of shop owners’ acceptance of the three executed needlecrafts, and a questionnaire to find out the degree of acceptance of those who have a desire to establish a small project for the three executed needlework.Keywords: handcrafts, Smocking, Etamine, Crochet, Small Projects
