Abstract

The current research is aimed to identify the forms of Domestic violence directed towards children and its relationship to a sense of security and academic achievement among primary school students, fifth and sixth grades (9: 11 years), in Al-Ahsa Governorate, and the training needs of the teaching staff to deal with these cases. Hence, the current research relied on the social survey method in studying the phenomenon in reality, making use of the survey method for theoretical studies and scientific research literature, adopting the field study and building a tool for collecting information on research variables in preparation for statistical analysis to reach results that can be used.
The sample of the research was represented in (48) from the educational staff in primary schools (girls), and (366) from the primary school students in Al-Ahsa governorate. The results revealed an inverse relationship between Domestic violence directed at children and a sense of security and academic achievement
