The Authorization as practiced by mothers and its relationship to the personal skills of children in late childhood

Abstract

This research studied the relationship between the authorization skill practiced by mothers and the family interaction of children in late childhood. The data were completed through the application of (a general family data form, a questionnaire of the authorization skill, a questionnaire of family interaction for children) on an intentional and accidental sample consisting of (220) mothers and (220) children. The descriptive analytical approach was used in this study then data was analyzed and processing the statistical treatments using ( SPSS )program. The results are:
There is a positive correlation statistically significant between mothers’ practice of the authorization skill with its axes and the family interaction of children with its axes. There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample individuals ’scores in mothers’ practice of the authorization skill with its axes according to the housing environment in favor to urban, and according to the mother’s work in favor to working mothers. And according to the gender of the child in favor to females in household tasks, and according to the son’s order in favor to the older son. And according to the educational level of mother in favor to the high levelIt was also found that there is no difference in the family interaction of children according to the gender of the child and according to the monthly income.
The study recommended that the National Center for Motherhood and Childhood publish the guidebook prepared on various websites
