Abstract

Abstract
The research aims to take advantage of the technique of smoking in creating designs on mannequins to reach the relationship between the properties of raw materials and the aesthetics of the method of smoking on the dress stand ،and setting standards for using the smoking method with the proposed materials according to the researcher's findings through experiments The research, and to get acquainted with the opinions of each of the specialists, their number(20) specialists and consumers who are (30) in designs their number (14) to suit women in the age (20-35) years and whose sizes (38-44). With the proposed materials "woven (tulle - chiffon - taffeta - satin - velor - gabardine) and non-woven (artificial leather- cloth- chamois) and knitting (rib- single jersey). Anumber of (5) stitches which are (Curl- Successive Festoon- Wave- Bee's Nest- Triangle). The research followed the descriptive approach with the analysis and application.The results of the research resulted in the admiration of specialists for the overall research designs, opinions varied according to the field of specialization and years of experience had a clear impact on the specialists' responses towards the designs, the results of measuring consumer opinions towards the overall designs resulted in that the greater the age andeducationlevel reflected positively on their opinions about designs, working women were more positive than non-working women in the survey of their opinions about designs, and looking at the size variable, it was found that women with larger sizes had more positive responses towards designs.
