Employing introductions and musical breaks in some of Nagat's little songs to benefit from them in teaching the taste of Arabic music

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the difficulties that some students face in the course to taste Arabic music, which is represented in identifying and determining (the maqam - beating - the type of instruments used - the phoneme), and overcoming them by listening to the music of the introductions and musical breaks of some of Nagat's small songs, Because the music contains distributions of the individual instruments and the multiplicity of the vocal layers, as well as the different denominators, rhythms and strokes, the researcher followed the descriptive approach (content analysis), and the sample consisted of introductions and musical breaks for three singing works of the singer Najat Al-Daghira, then the researcher reached a set of results, which are As follows
1. With the method of taste through listening, the student can identify the elements of Arab music taste (maqam - beating - type of instrument used - vocal pitch).
2. Through the student's listening to models in different musical syllables, an auditory syllabus is enriched, which enriches the educational process.
3. The student realizes the importance of the musical subjects that he studies and accepts, such as solfege, Arabic singing, and instrumental science by listening through taste.
