Abstract

The research aims to build a new unit for design, embroidery and crochet course for the third year students - Department of Home Economics - Faculty of Specific Education - Minya University, and measure the effectiveness of the new unit at the cognitive and skill levels for female students, as well as the effectiveness of the Jigsaw strategy in developing students ’skills to implement satin tapes by hand For decoration of baby room furnishings.
The research method is based on both the quasi-experimental approach, through the one experimental group, to identify the effect of the independent variable (jigsaw strategy) on the dependent variable (knowledge and skills) included in the created unit, and the descriptive approach, through the theoretical framework used for the content of the developed unit to apply the Jigsaw strategy. .
Among the results of the search were: -
1- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of female students in the pre and post application of the achievement test and the skill performance test in favor of the post application.
2- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of female students in the pre and post application of the achievement test in favor of the post application.
3- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students in the pre and post application of the skill performance test in favor of the post application.
