The impact of smart technology on the internal space of public libraries

Abstract

This research dealt with the emergence of smart internal architecture for public libraries, and some smart technologies used in the internal spaces of public libraries and their characteristics and advantages, then some images of smart technological applications were shown on the internal spaces of public libraries through some smart technological examples used in (floors - ceilings - walls - External interfaces) and also some types of smart furniture used to raise the efficiency of internal spaces for public libraries, and despite the stopping of research at this point, it is still smart technology in continuous progress, there are smart systems and components used in public libraries and their characteristics and features that (RFID),
And smart sensors that are used to monitor and protect the library building, energy monitoring systems, smart insulation and finally smart lighting used within modern public libraries, and based on the foregoing the public library buildings must have:
1- The convenience factor that will comfortably facilitate the functions and activities performed by the library staff and the spaces for the beneficiaries.
2- Calculating the building’s acceptance of future climate changes and future events that relate to adding, excluding and modifying communication and information networks according to the evolution of the technological progress steps of the information revolution, which means providing a factor of flexibility.
