The relationship of two infographic patterns to the level of information awareness of university students in light of mental capacity

Abstract

The aim of the current research was to identify the relationship between two types of infographic and information awareness . To achieve the goal of the research, the semi-experimental method was used. measurement tools were information awareness test and mental capacity scale. Two experimental treatments were produced fixed infographic and animated infographic that were uploaded to an electronic environment. Basic research sample consisted of 180 students divided into 6 groups according to level of mental capacity (high, medium, low) and types of infographic (fixed, animated).
Results showed the big effect of both kinds of infographic in  information awareness test specialy animated infographic groups Results also indicated that students with higher mental capacity than their middle and low mental counterparts in information-awareness test, while there were no differences between medium and low-students , Study recommends the importance of expanding the use of infographic and taking into account differences between levels of mental capacity of learners and the need to pay attention to the development of information awareness of all learners.
