Abstract

This research explores a contemporary and sustainable artistic vision inspired by the aesthetics of Talli motifs, using the recycling of unused clothing to transform it into functional artworks that embody the spirit of heritage with a touch of modernity. The importance of the research stems from its endeavor to blend Egyptian authenticity with contemporary creativity, employing traditional arts as a means of preserving cultural identity while achieving sustainability goals and reviving the value of neglected materials.

The researcher adopted a quasi-experimental approach by implementing a set of artistic models based on decorative units from the Talli art, but using a beaded weaving technique that allowed for a variety of textures, light reflection, and color, giving the works a distinct aesthetic character and a sustainable practical function.

The jury results demonstrated that the experiment succeeded in presenting an artistic model that combines heritage and innovation, enhancing the concept of sustainable art in the field of artworks. The research recommends the necessity of employing traditional arts in the design of modern artworks and encouraging small projects based on artistic recycling as a path to creative and economic development.
