Abstract: The current research aims to identify the extent to which secondary school students use social networking sites and the extent of its relationship to their psychological anxiety, as this research belongs to descriptive research and the researcher used the media survey method, and used the questionnaire tool, applied to a sample of (400) individuals from secondary school students who use social networking sites, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The study sample always uses new technologies for new media, and one of the motives that help in using new media technologies was allowing the reception of a large amount of information in first place, and providing the backup feature for all information came in second place. There are statistically significant differences between the secondary school students in the research sample in their level of psychological anxiety according to demographic variables (gender, specialization, economic level of the family). There is also a strong correlation between the use of new media technologies and psychological anxiety, as there is a positive relationship between the rate of use of new media technologies and psychological anxiety, as if the rate of use increases, psychological anxiety increases, as well as the average number of daily hours of use. In the case of a large number of hours, psychological anxiety increases, and students’ use of new media technologies increases the rate of psychological anxiety, as with increased use Stress and anxiety increase,
