Abstract

Arabic solfege is a subject that requires constant diversification and renewal in its teaching. Many studies have discussed the development of Arabic solfege in general. Therefore, the researcher proposed a teaching method for use during ongoing training, both inside and outside of lecture halls. This method facilitates visual reading of any solfege exercise, helps avoid some errors during visual reading, and prepares the student for visual reading in the final exam. As far the above, the researcher considered developing a proposed teaching method that would address the difficulties encountered in visual reading of Arabic solfege

Research Problem:

Sight reading have some difficulties for many novice students during the Arabic Solfege course, especially when taking the final exam. This is considered the result of continuous and diverse training in Arabic Solfege. Therefore, the researcher previously considered proposing a teaching method to overcome some of the difficulties encountered by novice students in sight reading Arabic Solfege.

Research Objectives: This research aims to:

1. Develop a teaching method that includes several methods for developing sight reading in Arabic Solfege.

2. Create solfege exercises of varying difficulty to train on methods for developing sight reading in Arabic Solfege.

3. Provide novice students with some skills specific to sight reading in Arabic Solfege.

4. Develop sight reading skills in Arabic Solfege through innovative exercises within the proposed teaching method
