Abstract

Research Summary

Linking art with science and its applications in the field of artistic creativity is considered one of the most

important radical transformations in the history of modern art, especially from the late twentieth century. By

dealing with the science of cartography, extracting its symbols, and understanding relationships and systems,

it enriches the field of innovation and creativity.

Between the first maps drawn by ancient man on rocks and stones and the electronic maps that we carry

today on mobile phones, there is one thing in common: it is a language that transcends the barriers of different

languages.

This language, in which the drawing is mixed with a little vocabulary and a lot of symbols, was a source of

inspiration for the artist for creativity, innovation, and the development of new approaches. Therefore, the

research aims to shed light on the plastic data of the cartographic symbols and clarify their characteristics

and their role in enriching the field of decorative designs. The research deals with the study of the origins of

the science of cartography and the concept of Cartography, types of maps and their composition elements
