Abstract

The research aims to measure the effectiveness of teaching leather crafts sewing techniques according to the project-based blended learning strategy on developing both cognitive achievement and skill performance of fourth-year female students. From this main objective, some sub-objectives emerge to develop cognitive achievement of natural leather, develop skill performance of leather crafts sewing techniques. To achieve the research objectives, a research sample (15) of female students in the graduation project, Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Specific Education - Damietta University, was selected. This research followed the descriptive analytical approach in extrapolating the literature and previous studies and the experimental approach to verify the effectiveness of the independent variable, the program based on the project-based blended learning strategy, on the dependent variable, cognitive achievement and skill performance of leather crafts sewing techniques using pre- and post-measurements. The research results confirmed the effectiveness of the project-based blended learning strategy, as the results showed that the average scores of the research sample students in the post-application were higher than their average scores in the pre-application in each of the cognitive achievement test, skill performance evaluation form, scale of attitude towards satisfaction with the blended learning method, project-based blended learning strategy in education, techniques Leather products were weaved and all the products implemented were of a high standard in terms of functionality, aesthetics, technology and overall evaluation according to the evaluation of specialists.
