Abstract

The oud is one of the most important instruments used in Arabic music, in addition to its main role in the Arabic orchestra. As an instrument specialized in colleges and specialized institutes, it is popular among students for its study due to its important role in studying music. Given the importance of the oud and the importance of Arabic singing in enriching the artistic output of oud students, the researcher was prompted to prepare a proposed program that uses the “Taqtuqa Ya Aghla Ism Fi Al Wujud” trumpet to develop the skill of synergy between playing and singing on the oud.

The theoretical framework of the research included previous studies related to the research topic, a brief about Arabic singing, a brief about Taqtuqa Ya Aghla Ism Fi Al Wujud, a brief about the oud instrument, and a brief about synergy. The research follows the analytical descriptive approach to the performance style of the singing and instrumental synergy of the Taqtuqa form on the oud instrument. The applied framework also included the analytical study (theoretical and instrumental) of Taqtuqa Ya Aghla Ism Fi Al Wujud, and the presentation of the exercises suggested by the researcher necessary to facilitate some of the performance difficulties it included. The research concluded with the research results, their interpretation, and recommendations.
