Abstract

The research addressed the topic of the role of material in developing innovative thinking skills for people with mental disabilities. The researcher presented the topic of material and the reason for choosing it, as the Egyptian environment is full of many materials and it is one of the most important elements of artistic creativity as a sensory stimulus characterized by formative and expressive properties. Material is the material medium for expression. And shaping in all types of implementation methods available to each of them, and through it also the aesthetic values ​​are embodied and sensed. The process of harmonization when using more than one material in the formation of a single artistic work, within the framework of commitment to the foundations of homogeneity and harmony between the sum of those materials leads to tightening the artistic unity of this work, and the Taking advantage of all the methods that are followed in implementing an artistic work in innovative forms, while using some auxiliary materials to increase its artistic value, as it depends on the imagination of the creative person with a mental disability who understands the relationships between these materials and sees in their formulation a kind of good formation. Different materials are considered a focus of creativity and gaining experience in a practical way.
