Abstract

The current research aims to study the nature of the relationship between harassment in its dimensions and self-esteem and its axes among teenagers. The study sample included (383) male and female students in adolescence, and they were selected in a purposive, chance manner, and the study tools were applied through personal interview in the period from March 1 to April 20 of the year 2024 AD, the study followed the descriptive analytical approach.

The important results of the study were: There is a negative correlation between the harassment questionnaire and its four dimensions and the self-esteem questionnaire and its four axes at a significant level of 0.01. It was also possible to predict self-esteem through the dimensions of the harassment questionnaire.

The study recommended: preparing customized strategies that suit the needs of each age group,, and support and training programs must be designed in a way that suits the needs of each gender, with a focus on: To address the psychological effects of those affected, and allocate resources to support adolescents with general education, especially in the areas of self-development and self-confidence in order to take into account the differences between Al-Azhar adolescents and others. Although there is no discrepancy in the results based on the socio-economic level, the research recommends that further studies be conducted to explore potential relationships more deeply and perhaps in different contexts.
