A comparative analytical study of mazurka's piano performance style by césar cui and Luis Moreau Gottschalk

Abstract

The research aims to identify the performance and composition style of both César Cui and Luis Moro Gottschalk in their composition of piano Mazurka, as well as compare the elements and characteristics of the composition style of both to find out the similarities and differences, by addressing the research sample represented in piano Mazurka No. 2 Op. 79 by César Cui, and piano Mazurka entitled Mazurka Rustique Op. 81 by Luis Moro Gottschalk analysis and description.

This research includes the introduction - the problem - the objectives - the importance - the questions - and the procedures represented in (method - sample - tools - limits), and previous studies.

The theoretical framework included an overview of the historical development of the Mazurka dance, a brief biography of César Cui and Louis Moreau Gottschalk, and the applied aspect came to include the structural and instrumental analysis of the research sample, as well as the similarities and differences between the elements and characteristics of Mazurca's piano performance and composition style of César Cui and Luis Gottschalk.

The research concludes with the results, proposed recommendations, references used, and finally the Abstract of the research in Arabic and English.
