Benefiting from performance techniques of Nocturne op.37 by Emanuel Moor for piano students

Abstract

This research aims to identify the characteristics of the composer Emanuel Moor and shed light on his style in formulating the piano nocturne, Op. 37. It also aims to identify the techniques and playing difficulties contained in the piano nocturne, Op. 37, and to provide playing instructions and suggested exercises that help the player to achieve a sound artistic performance. The problem of the research stems from the fact that although the composer Emanuel Moor was one of the most important composers of music in the Romantic era and had compositions of a special nature, no one shed light on him as a composer, nor on his musical works in general and his works for specific audiences. Therefore, the researcher found it necessary to shed light on one of his compositions for the piano and provide a comprehensive analytical study that helps the student understand these compositions and achieve a sound artistic performance, The importance of the research is presenting an artistic study to introduce the composer Emanuel Moor and benefit from the artistic characteristics of his style in compose piano nocturne, op.37, and clarification of the requirements for performing the playing techniques with the nocturne in order to achieve a sound artistic performance.
