Developing group playing skills (six hands) on one piano in light of the sustainable leadership strategy

Abstract

The research aimed to develop female students’ collective playing skills on one piano, and to acquire some basic skills for sustainable leadership in the musical field by playing the composition “La Campanella” prepared for six hands for one piano Prepared for six hands for one piano. The research sample consisted of the composition “La Campanella,” prepared for six hands for one piano. The human population consists of two groups of female students in the second year of the bachelor’s degree, and their number is six, with three female students in each group. The research followed the experimental method. The researcher was able to verify the research hypotheses, as she found statistically significant differences between the averages of the grades of the female students in the research group in the pre- and post-measurements in both: (Musical abilities test - observation card for leadership behavior among female pianists - assessment form for female pianists with a leadership personality) for the benefit of the post-test and the acquisition of some group playing skills for six hands on one piano instrument, which prompted the researcher to recommend familiarizing himself with the types of leadership to benefit from them in field of multi-hand piano playing.
