Abstract

The research aims to measure the impact of teaching the mannequin preparation course according to the peer evaluation strategy on developing both the cognitive achievement and skill performance of female fashion design students. From this main goal emerge some sub-goals: developing the cognitive achievement of the mannequin preparation course, developing the skill performance of the techniques of the mannequin preparation course, reducing... The technical difficulties facing female students in the mannequin preparation course, benefiting from the positives of the peer evaluation strategy in reducing the anxiety of continuous evaluation, and to achieve the research objectives, the research sample (12) was selected from eighth-level female students, Department of Artistic Studies, specializing in fashion design, College of Arts and Arts - University of Bisha in the Kingdom. In Saudi Arabia, among those studying the mannequin preparation course, this research followed the descriptive analytical approach in extrapolating previous literature and studies and the experimental approach to verify the effectiveness of the independent variable, the program based on the electronic peer evaluation strategy, on the dependent variable, cognitive achievement and skill performance for the mannequin preparation course, using pre- and post-measurements. The results were: The research confirms the effectiveness of the peer evaluation strategy, as the results showed that the average scores of the female students of the research sample in the post-application were higher than their average scores in the pre-application, in each of the cognitive achievement test, the skill performance evaluation form, and the measure of the attitude.
