Designing and Implementing New Models for Hand Bags Using the Art of Crochet in Light of Sustainable Fashion

Abstract

The research aims to benefit from the aesthetic and functional values of the art of crochet to implement women's handbags while preserving the value of handmade arts from extinction, has been the implementation of a set of models developed for women's handbags and the number (13) bag implemented using two types of threads, the first type velor threads thickness (0.4-0.5) mm, and the second type cotton macrame threads thickness (0.3-0.4) mm,, The study followed the descriptive, experimental and analytical approach to achieve hypotheses and reach its goals and benefit from the aesthetic and functional values of the art of crochet in the implementation of Handbags .Design of (2) evaluation form "preparation of the two researchers" directed to each of (specialists, consumers "research sample") and the bags implemented were arbitrated by (15) arbitrators of specialists to choose the best bags implemented according to the axes and items of evaluation, in order to achieve renewal, innovation and sustainability of the implemented bags, and the results of the research found that bag No. (12) is the best bags implemented with a quality factor of (99.43), followed by bag No. (1) with a quality factor (96.86), followed by bag No. (11) with a quality factor (94.62).
