It can be likened to language notation, consisting of letters and symbols, such as diacritical marks. By assembling these letters and musical symbols, musical phrases can be formed. From a historical perspective, musical notation stands as one of the most significant tools ensuring the preservation, continuity, and safeguarding of our musical heritage across eras. Artistically, adhering to scientific and global standards in musical notation protects music from potential loss and distortion, particularly when relying solely on oral narration. The Oud instrument, among musical instruments, has witnessed numerous musical compositions written to showcase its beauty. The evolution of composition and notation for the Oud has spanned centuries, culminating in the familiar form we know today. Some music scholars have compiled these musical notations for the Oud into finalized books and references, forming the basis for teaching the Oud in specialized institutions. This research encompasses the research problem, objectives, significance, research questions, hypotheses, research sample, and terminology. Additionally, it is divided into theoretical and practical aspects, concluding with results, recommendations, references, and a research summary.
