Abstract

The piano occupied a large and important place among other musical instruments, duo and group compositions, This interest is due to the piano wide range of sound field areas, in addition to its melodic and harmonic capabilities, effects, and sound colors, Also the piano is suitable for solo performance with great beauty and efficiency, so that this beauty is multiplied by positive participation with the accompaniment of another instrument, whether stringed or wind,

The research aims to identify Attia Sharara style in concerto compositions, oud and piano, know the role of the piano and oud, develop instructions and playing methods for musicians to achieve good performance.

The importance of the research and develop the auditory between the piano and oud.

The results resulted in the emergence of the composers style and personality through the simplicity of the melody due to his repeated use of sequential sounds as well as chromatics, and his use of smooth and regular rhythms throughout the melody, The basic melody was for the oud instrument, enriched with a melodic harmonic background for the piano instrument, with a simple melodic imitation between the two instruments.

The researcher recommends paying attention to preparing compositions for duo playing between the piano and Arabic musical instruments, and including Attia Sharara compositions in the academic curricula because they contain different musical and performance techniques.
