Abstract

The research aims to enrich the aesthetic values of children’s clothing in the early childhood stage from (2:6) years, by using knots and tying in different ways and methods, relying on the thread material only, because of its aesthetic and plastic values that help the designer to draw inspiration from new and diverse design ideas, which can then be employed. In an innovative and creative way in producing children's clothing.

To achieve the goal of the research, a number of (8) proposed designs for children’s clothing were implemented with different types and colors of natural and synthetic threads (cotton, polyacrylic) and different threads (thin, thick) for both natural and synthetic types with various knotting and tying methods, which affects the shape of the stitches. Wooden loom.



The importance of the research lies in trying to break away from the stereotypes in designing children’s clothing with an idea based on experimentation by developing new techniques using threads

The research followed the descriptive analytical method with application. Two (2) questionnaires were prepared to evaluate the proposed designs. One of the most important results that were reached after processing it statistically was the presence of statistically significant differences between the implemented designs according to the opinions of specialists.
