The effectiveness of using the “You Tube” application in acquiring some of the techniques used in the method of modelling on the mannequin

Abstract

The current research aims to prepare videos of shaping techniques on the machine via the YouTube application, measure the effectiveness of using the application to gain mastery, and measure the opinions of students towards learning through the application, the research follows a semi-experimental and descriptive approach, the research tools were a measure of appreciation of technologies and a student opinion survey questionnaire, and after verifying honesty and consistency, the effectiveness of using the application and its evaluation tools was measured on a deliberate sample of (27) students of the third division-clothing and textile department at the Faculty of Home Economics- Helwan University, and the research results were: there is a statistically significant difference between the average grades of students in the application (before / after) to gain some shaping techniques on the German using the application in favor of the dimensional application at the level of 0,01, there is a statistically significant difference between the average grades of students in the application (before / after) for the skill performance assessment scale in favor of the dimensional application at the level of 0,01, and the students ' opinions were positive to learn shaping techniques on the German using "YouTube"and one of the most important research recommendations is to conduct more studies formation on the remote Manikan.
