Abstract

Abstract:

The current research dealt with one of the techniques of ceramic surface treatments, which is the technique of lining from a color aesthetic perspective, as color is one of the most important aesthetic elements that have an impact on the completeness of the ceramic form, when the color corresponds to the shape to complete it and raise its aesthetic value and give it new dimensions and an artistic vision of high value, and also dealt with the concept of technology in terms of its association with the activities of thinking and sensory perception of the artist and its interaction with his experiences and visual perceptions.

the researcher dealt with geometric abstraction as a new artistic approach that can be employed to enrich ceramic surfaces using lining technique, because geometric abstraction is a fertile field and source that can give new and multiple technical solutions that increase the aesthetic enrichment of the ceramic surface in terms of designs that depend on simple geometric shapes and strong colors that characterize this trend.

The research aimed to identify the aesthetic and artistic values of geometric abstraction as an attempt to find new entrances that enrich the field of ceramics, find innovative methods to employ the technique of lining on ceramic surfaces, create ceramic forms that combine the aesthetics of lining technique and the technical characteristics of geometric abstraction.

The research reaches the creation of ceramic forms that combine the aesthetics of lining technique with the technical characteristics of geometric abstraction.
