The effectiveness of challenge-based learning in acquiring Nalbinding art skills to implement children's game models

Abstract

The current research aims to study the art of Nalbinding as one of the arts of needlework and measure the effectiveness of the program based on challenge-based learning in providing the knowledge and skills necessary to implement stitches and techniques of the art of Nalbinding, and the importance of the research lies in the possibility of employing challenge-based learning as one of the learning models in teaching the art of needlework through the training program, and providing students with modern strategies that help them develop skill performance (practical) to implement children's game models in a new style different and more dense and durable than knitted and crochet which is Nalbinding using Thread residues, which shows its importance from an economic point of view, the current research followed the descriptive, analytical and semi-experimental approach, and its tools included the experimental processing tool: A Training Program to employ challenge-based learning - measurement tools including: Challenge activities represented in a list of Nalbinding skills and techniques, achievement test (before / after), skill performance note card (before / after), an estimation scale to evaluate the performance of students, an implemented product evaluation card, a scale of trends (before / after), the research reached the following results:



There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the pre- and post-application of the achievement test, the performance note card, the performance appreciation scale, the implemented products evaluation card, the measure of students' attitude in favor of the post-application
