Abstract

Music flourished in France during the twentieth century, largely represented in the return to the aesthetic teachings associated with the concepts of knowledge, to emotional restraint and the revival of templates with contrapuntal fabric from the Renaissance and Baroque eras and mixing them with the rhythms and harmonies of the twentieth century.

The researcher chose one of the works of the French author, George Auric, which is the shepherds' pieces for the piano, in order to study and analyze it (theoretically and instrumentally) because it contains various instrumental techniques

The theoretical framework of the research dealt with the previous studies related to the subject of the research, then the life of the author, his style, his most important works, and a brief about French music. And the necessary instructions to overcome some of the performance difficulties that were included in these pieces, and the research concluded with the results of the research, their interpretation and recommendations.
