Abstract

In the early ages, the word prelude was applied to some separate, independent pieces that were not related to the topics that followed, and that was in the compositions of the church and palaces, and then it was used after that as an introduction to musical pieces such as fugues or sequences, and this type continued until the early history of prelude, and many have written Among the musicians in this type of compositions are Chopin, a pianist of the romantic period, Scrapiebin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and Blomenfeld, who wrote 4 preludes, op12 . 1892 AD and 10 Prelude at Carlos Gustavino, and it contains many technical and expressive skills.

The researcher chose one of the works of the Russian author Anatoly Lyadov, which is Prelude to the Piano, in order to study and analyze it (theoretically and instrumentally) because it contains various instrumental techniques.

The theoretical framework of the research dealt with the previous studies related to the subject of the research, then the life of the author, his style, his most important works, and a brief about Prelude. (2 , 3) Providing the necessary suggestions and instructions to overcome some of the performance difficulties that were included in this prelude, and the research concluded with the results of the research, their interpretation and recommendations.
