Abstract

Music has gone through many experiences through the ages, including the experience of performing musical pieces written for certain instruments by players for other instruments, such as trombonists and contrabass players performing Marcello’s sonatas, which were written specifically for the cello, and this is what is called a musical preparation, i.e. prepared to fit another instrument, and this is what It is sometimes performed by trombone players when they want to play pieces belonging to the Baroque era, and the reason is that this work is a challenge to the capabilities of the player or his musical instrument, or the player admires a written work for another instrument and wants to perform it, this applies to the research sample: the Violin Concerto by Oscar Reading, classified 35, which has wonderful melodic phrases that the researcher believes are suitable for the sound of the trombone and express the capabilities of the professional musician.
