Exposure to foreign series on satellite channels and its relationship to the dispersion of identity among university youth

Abstract

The current research aimed to measure the relationship between the rate of exposure to foreign series on satellite channels and the dispersion of identity among university youth, which is a descriptive study, in which the researcher used the field survey method using a random sample of (300) individuals from universities (Minia, Al Azhar, Al-Nahda), and used The questionnaire and the measure of identity dispersion as tools for data collection, and the study reached several results, most notably: the existence of a direct correlation between the rate of exposure to foreign series, exposure to foreign series on satellite channels, and identity dispersion among university youth, and the results indicated that There are no statistically significant differences between the university youth, the study sample, in the rate of their viewing of foreign series on satellite channels, as well as in the rate of their identity dispersion according to the variables of gender and university.
