Carlos Gardel's Argentine tango performance style and use it in teaching the piano

Abstract

The research aims to identify the technical characteristics, performance difficulties, and playing techniques of twentieth-century music represented in the most prominent and famous songs and music of the Argentine tango Bor Ana Cabeza by the composer Carlos Gardel, in addition to determining the educational level that is compatible with the playing abilities of piano learners, and finding appropriate solutions to overcome technical difficulties through teaching steps, playing instructions, and proposed exercises.

This research includes the introduction - the problem - the objectives - the importance - the questions - and the procedures represented in (method - sample - tools - limits), and previous studies.

The theoretical framework, which includes an overview of the Argentine tango dance, the life of the composer Carlos Gardel, his style and his most famous compositions, and the practical aspect included determining the educational level that suits the playing abilities of piano learners - structural and performative analysis of the Argentine tango song Bor Ana Cabeza - technical difficulties and suggestions to overcome them through playing instructions and proposed exercises.

The research concludes with the results, proposed recommendations, references used, and finally a summary of the research in Arabic and English.
