The effect of using infographic technology in teaching home economics on the development of critical thinking and achievement motivation among middle school students

Abstract

Summary of the research:

The current research aimed to identify the effect of using infographics in teaching home economics on the development of achievement motivation and critical thinking among second year middle school students. 2022 at the Martyr Magdi Shaaban Abdulaziz School in the Qutour Educational Administration - Gharbia Governorate, they were divided into two groups, one of which was an experimental number of (30) students, and the other a control number of (30) students. The preparation of the researcher, and the measure of achievement motivation (perceived competence / perseverance / goal setting / level of ambition) prepared by Mustafa Kamal Sad, and the results of the research revealed a statistically significant difference at a significant level (0.01) between the mean scores of the students of the two experimental groups (which were studied using infographics) and the control (which was studied using the usual method) in testing critical thinking as a whole, and in each of its dimensions in favor of the experimental group students, and the measure of achievement motivation as a whole and in each of its dimensions in favor of the students of the experimental group, in addition to the effectiveness of using the infographic technique in developing critical thinking and achievement motivation for Preparatory school students, and the research recommended the need to develop critical thinking among students and increase their motivation for achievement through methods that have proven effective in this, such as the infographic technique.
