Abstract

The objective of the current research is to identify the impact of a program in home economics based on divergent thinking strategies to improve positive thinking skills and the level of self-esteem among students with - learned helplessness in the secondary stage, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the descriptive approach and the experimental approach of one group were used, and the research sample consisted of (60 A student from the first and second grades at the Girls Institute of Mahalla Ziyad Secondary Al-Azhari, Samanoud Center - Gharbia Governorate, and the research tools included (a measure of learned helplessness prepared by (Nadia Ashour, 2014) - a test of positive thinking - a measure of self-esteem), and the results of the search revealed that there is a difference Statistically significant at a significant level (0.05) between the mean scores of female students with learned helplessness in the secondary stage between the pre and post applications of the positive thinking test as a whole and its sub-skills in favor of the post application. Learned deficit in the secondary stage between the pre and post applications of the self-esteem scale as a whole and its sub-dimensions in favor of the post application. Modern teaching strategies and methods to develop higher-order thinking skills such as divergent thinking strategies and paying attention to the learned helplessness category by studying the problems they face and working to solve them.
