Abstract

This study aimed to identify the image in which the characters of special needs’ caregiver were presented in the drama of the Egyptian theater , It also aimed to identify the nature of the prevailing attitude of special needs’ caregiver towards individuals with special needs



This study derives its importance from the importance of studying the mental image of special needs’ caregiver in theater drama ,This is to reveal the framework that governs the formulation of these images and the negative or positive reality they reflect and This affected the implantation of social perceptions and attitudes towards those in charge of caring for these groups





The study seeks to answer the following question:

- What is the image in which the characters of special needs’ caregiver were presented in the Egyptian theater drama?

- What is the prevailing trend of the relationship between caregivers and people with special needs in the Egyptian theater drama?



The most important results of the study findings:



- Negative images prevailed over positive images of special needs’ caregiver in the study sample texts.

- The most important negative images of characters based on special needs’ caregiver in the study sample texts were exploitation, abandonment and neglect, aggression, aversion, rejection, and misleading.



- Exploitation was the apparent negative characteristic of special needs’ caregiver,and There were many forms of exploitation in the study sample
