Abstract

This research aims at identifying the relationship between emotional regulation strategies, psychological prosperity and academic passion among the female student teachers, the research sample, as well as verifying the extent to which the proposed causal model matches the relationship between the research variables (emotional regulation strategies, psychological prosperity and academic passion). The research tools included a questionnaire of emotional regulation strategies, a questionnaire of psychological prosperity and a questionnaire of academic passion). The research was applied to a sample of (265) student teachers at the faculty of Home Economics, and the two researchers reached the following results:

- There is a positive (direct) correlation relationship statistically significant at the level (0.01) between the scores of the research sample on the questionnaire of emotional regulation strategies, psychological prosperity and academic passion.

- The proposed path analysis model of the causal relationships between emotional regulation strategies (as an independent variable), psychological prosperity (as a mediating variable), and academic passion (as a dependent variable) achieves a good match with the data of female teachers.

- There is a direct positive effect of emotional regulation strategies on psychological prosperity, amounting to (0.62(.

- There is a direct positive effect of psychological prosperity on academic passion, which amounted to (0.26(.

- There is a direct positive effect of emotional regulation strategies on academic passion which amounted to (0.08); and an indirect effect through psychological prosperity as a mediating variable between emotional regulation strategies and academic passion which amounted to (0.26 × 0.62 = 0.16).
